Swedish Massage is one of the primary styles of massage that uses medium pressure and focuses on relieving muscle tension, enhancing muscle tone, stimulating circulation and promoting overall mind and body relaxation.  When referencing a “full body massage”, it is generally considered to be a Swedish Massage, unless specifically stated otherwise.

The basic techniques of Swedish Massage are most commonly known as Effleurage, Petrissage, Tapotement, Vibration, Cross Fiber Friction, and Rocking or Shaking.  Each of these techniques may consist of many variations and applications and can be as individual as each therapist.  However, they all adhere to the same principals of safety and effectiveness, and are incorporated into the Swedish Massage to provide maximum benefit, based on the client’s preference and needs. Some of the benefits of Swedish Massage include:

·         Reduces Stress, Anxiety & Depression
